Kemp's Ridley on Retreat Beach
According to the expert I talked to, this turtle in the picture here that was found on the retreat beach
was an endangered Kemp's ridley sea turtle and a nesting female at that.
This Turtle , being lighter in weight has tracks that can be shallow and more easily
removed by the winds on the beach making discovery and protection of the nests that much harder....
