Private property
As we can see from the recent court ruling tilting in favor toward private property owners that do not want beach renourishment in front of their 3 properties in south Walton county we may be seeing a backlash toward the current form of what I will call "beach democracy" whereby whats good for most of the folks is deemed to be good for all of the folks on the beach.
We have the court saying that the city of Destin might have to begin eminent domain proceedings against these three owners to complete the renourishment project along the entire project area.
I doubt that the 315' Dredging ship is going to "hang out" in the Gulf waiting for that to happen.
I wonder how the city would try to describe those high value Gulf Front lots as "blighted".
